ELVI HYDROSTOP is a water-based silicone blend hydrophobic primer designed for the impregnation of mineral building material surfaces. The product penetrates deeply into the substrate, providing long-lasting water-repellent properties while maintaining the surface’s vapor permeability.

The hydrophobic impregnation significantly reduces water absorption by at least 80% and minimizes capillary moisture uptake, protecting surfaces from moisture damage, efflorescence, and freeze–thaw cracking. The product is resistant to UV radiation, alkaline environments, and frost.

ELVI HYDROSTOP is suitable for treating both new and aged surfaces, including brick, concrete, plaster, natural stone, cement–lime substrates, asbestos cement, and gypsum board. It can be used both indoors and outdoors, including on building facades.

Before impregnation, the surface must be dry, clean, and mechanically sound. Dust, dirt, loose material particles, and other contaminants that may reduce the effectiveness of the hydrophobic primer must be removed from the substrate.

During application, it is recommended to protect window glass, decorative elements, and other sensitive details by covering them with polyethylene film. This helps prevent unintended contact of the product with surfaces that are not intended to be impregnated.

The surface should be even and free of visible moisture. If the substrate is highly porous or strongly absorbent, more thorough and uniform application may be required to ensure maximum protection against water exposure.

Hardened material and empty containers must be disposed of as household waste.

WARNING! The adhesive can be used for 24 months from the date of manufacture (indicated on the packaging) if stored in a tightly closed container at a temperature between +5 °C and +25 °C.
