Description
Professional, moisture-resistant primer concentrate based on water, designed for reliable preparation of mineral surfaces before finishing works. Thanks to its fine-dispersed acrylic dispersion, the primer penetrates deeply into the pores of the substrate, binds dust particles, and significantly strengthens the surface.
Using ELVI Aquablock PROF increases the strength and durability of finishing layers, reduces the risk of peeling and cracking, decreases water absorption, and improves adhesion with finishing materials such as putties, tile adhesives, paints, or wallpapers.

After application, it forms a moisture-resistant barrier while maintaining the vapor permeability of the substrate, which helps to preserve a healthy indoor microclimate and prevents the development of mold and mildew.

ELVI Aquablock PROF stands out for its ease of use and versatility. It is suitable for priming concrete, cement, cement-lime plasters, aerated concrete, brick, gypsum boards, and other porous substrates. It can be used both for treating new surfaces and for restoring old or weakened substrates.

The use of this primer not only improves the quality of finishing but also reduces the consumption of subsequent materials, making the process more economical.
Surface preparation & application
Surface preparation
The substrate must be dry, solid, and free from dust, dirt, grease stains, and any loose or flaking materials. Stir the primer thoroughly before use. To check absorbency and adhesion, it is recommended to perform a test application on a small area of the surface.

Application
ELVI Aquablock PROF can be used both as a primer and as an additive for construction mixtures.
Dilution with water depends on the intended use:

  • For preparing mixtures:
For plasters: 1:5 – 1:20
For cement-lime mortars:
– layer 1–5 mm: 1:5
– layer 5–20 mm: 1:10
For self-levelling mixtures: 1:5 – 1:10

  • For priming surfaces:
Concrete, cement, aerated concrete, plaster: 1:5 – 1:10
• Gypsum boards: 1:10
• Floor substrates: 1:3 – 1:5

Apply with a brush, roller, or spray. For highly absorbent or weak substrates, it is recommended to apply several coats “wet-on-wet” to ensure uniform strengthening.
Average consumption — 10–12 m²/l in one coat.
Application temperature — from +8 °C to +35 °C.
Drying time between coats — at least 2 hours. Complete drying — 2–6 hours at +23 °C and 50 % relative humidity.
Disposal
Hardened material and empty packaging should be disposed of as household waste.

ATTENTION!

Do not freeze! Store in tightly closed containers at temperatures above +5 °C. Protect from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
Shelf life: 24 months from the date of manufacture (indicated on the packaging).
