ELVI TEKO WOOD is suitable for new and previously painted wooden surfaces, as well as concrete and metal, if they have been previously primed. The new surface must be clean, free of dust, dirt or signs of mold. If necessary, the surface must be washed with a facade cleaner and rinsed with water. The surface must be dry before painting.
For previously painted surfaces, remove old, flaking paint and check the adhesion of the existing coating. Areas with poor adhesion must be cleaned back to a stable base. Wash the surface with a cleaner, rinse, and allow it to dry completely. Before application, stir the paint thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or sprayer in 1–2 coats. For conventional spraying, dilute the paint with approximately 10% water; for airless spraying, no dilution is needed. Recommended pressure: ≥200 bar, nozzle size 0.38 mm, spray angle 30–65°. During painting, the surface must be dry, and the wood moisture content should not exceed 20%. During application and drying, air, surface, and paint temperature must be above +5°C, and relative humidity must not exceed 80%. At +23°C and 50% RH, drying time is 2 hours, with a 2-hour interval between coats. It is not recommended to paint in direct sunlight.
