Description
Ready-to-use acrylic dispersion adhesive for bonding textile floor coverings such as carpets with jute or foam backing, felt or fabric-based coverings, and similar materials to various substrates: concrete, self-leveling compounds, gypsum board, wood, hardboard, plywood, and compressed fiberboard – in dry indoor environments. The adhesive ensures strong initial tack, long open time, and remains elastic after drying. It contains no organic solvents and emits no harmful odors, making it ideal for indoor use.
Surface preparation & application
The substrate must be solid, dry, level, and free from grease, dust, and other contaminants. Remove any loose or non-load-bearing layers mechanically. For highly absorbent substrates, it is recommended to pre-prime with ELVI FACADE BASE PRIMER to ensure uniform absorption and improved adhesion. Moisture content: concrete max. 4%, wood max. 8%.
Before use, stir the adhesive thoroughly. Apply evenly to the substrate using a notched trowel (1.5–3 mm). For absorbent surfaces, immediately place the floor covering onto the wet adhesive and press it from the center outward. For non-absorbent or dense substrates, allow the adhesive to stand for 20–60 minutes until it becomes tacky before laying the covering. Ensure tight contact between the covering and substrate, especially when working on semi-dry adhesive. The ideal working temperature (for substrate, adhesive, and room) is between +18°C and +25°C. Full mechanical load is allowed no earlier than 24 hours after application.
Disposal
Cured material and empty containers should be disposed of as household waste.
ATTENTION! Shelf life is 18 months from the date of manufacture when stored in tightly closed containers at temperatures above +1°C. Contains a biocidal mixture: 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one. May cause allergic reactions. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing.
