Product description
ELVI Liquid Glass is a sodium silicate solution designed for structuring mineral surfaces and increasing water resistance. The product is widely used in construction, in the preparation of concrete and mortars, as well as in various household and technical applications. When dry, it forms a dense, transparent coating that fills the pores of porous materials and improves surface durability.

Liquid glass enhances the abrasion resistance and adhesion of porous mineral surfaces while containing no volatile organic compounds (VOC), being non-toxic, and having no specific odour. This makes the product suitable for both professional construction use and household applications.

In addition to construction works, ELVI Liquid Glass is also used for bonding paper and cardboard, whitewashing trees, and preparing various solutions in gardening and agricultural use.
Surface preparation
If the product is used as an additive for concrete or mortars, it should be thoroughly mixed before use and added to the water intended for preparing the mixture. This ensures even distribution of the sodium silicate and optimal performance. For the treatment of mineral surfaces, the surfaces must first be cleaned of paint, dust, and other loosely bonded materials. The surface must be dry and mechanically stable. Dilute the product with water at a ratio of 1:1, or 1:2 to improve penetration.
Application
In construction, ELVI Liquid Glass is used for waterproofing concrete and plaster by adding 1 litre of the product to 8–10 litres of cement mortar or by impregnating the surface with a 1:1 solution. As a concrete additive, it is used in an amount of 0.5–2% of the cement weight to increase material strength and reduce water absorption.

In gardening and agricultural use, the product is applied in various dilutions – for watering every 2–3 weeks (10–20 g per 1 litre of water), for spraying during the vegetation period (30–50 g per 10 litres of water). For tree whitewashing, prepare the solution by adding 200 g of the product to 10 litres of water.

When bonding paper or cardboard, apply the liquid glass directly to the surfaces to be bonded.

In additional applications, liquid glass is used in soap making, for water softening in laundry, and as a sealant for repairing fibreglass-reinforced exhaust systems.
Disposal
Hardened material and empty packaging should be disposed of as household waste.
